Jeannie’s practice is focused on corporate legal services for emerging growth companies.  She is experienced in handling all matters that start-up companies encounter, including corporate formation, corporate governance, stock options, equity and debt financing, securities offerings, corporate organization and corporate restructuring.  Jeannie has worked with companies from a wide range of industry sectors and enjoys assisting and providing guidance to new entrepreneurs as they maneuver through the corporate field. 

 

Prior to joining Acceleron Law Group, Jeannie counseled companies as an attorney with Fortis General Counsel, LLP, which was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a Tier 1 California corporate law firm and by the Daily Journal as one of the Top 50 boutique law firms in California.   In addition, before beginning her corporate practice, Jeannie practiced civil litigation in several Southern California based law firms with a focus on business and real estate litigation matters.

 

Jeannie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Irvine where she was an active participant in community service groups including Best Buddies and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County.   She received her J.D. cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law where she additionally earned an American Jurisprudence Award for Professional Responsibility.  Jeannie was active in several law school programs, serving as the Secretary for the Women’s Law Association and Social Committee Chairman for the Student Body Association and participating as a mentor in the Mentor Program which provided mentoring services to incoming and new law school students.

 

In continuing with community services after graduating, Jeannie was a tutor, teaching English to adults, as part of the Project Read program based in the Bay Area and additionally volunteers with and donates to local animal rescue groups.
