Acceleron Law Group, LLP is pleased to announce that Julie Ryan has joined the Firm as a Senior Counsel in its Southern California location.
Julie advises corporate clients on a variety of strategic and business transactions and legal issues.
Julie is an Associate Professor of Lawyering Skills and an Associate Director of LL.M. Legal Writing and Advocacy Program at USC Gould School of Law. Julie joined the USC Gould School of Law in 2010 as associate director of LL.M. Legal Writing and Advocacy. During the academic year 2011-12, she served as interim co-director of Legal Writing and Advocacy. In 2012, she was appointed assistant professor of Legal Writing and Advocacy, and in 2015, she was appointed associate professor of lawyering skills. In addition to administering the legal writing program, Julie teaches courses in contract drafting, advanced legal writing for transactional practice, and mergers & acquisitions.
Prior to joining USC Gould School of Law, Julie A. Ryan was a partner at Russ August & Kabat in Los Angeles and also previously practiced with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld and Clifford Chance Rogers & Wells in Washington, D.C., in the fields of cross-border finance, securities, and international mergers and acquisitions. Julie advises corporate clients on a variety of strategic and business transactions and legal issues.
Julie graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian of her class from Colorado State University. She received her J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was senior staff editor of Law and Policy in International Business and associate director of Georgetown Barristers’ Council. Julie is an active member of the California State Bar Corporations Committee and frequently presents seminars and workshops on securities and business law topics.
