California-based law firm Acceleron Law Group, LLP has expanded to the east coast with the opening of a new Washington, D.C. office. The firm currently has offices in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and Southern California.
The office will be headed by partner, Julie Ryan, who began her legal career in Washington, D.C. The firm will continue its focus on providing corporate transactional legal services to start-ups, emerging growth, mid-market and mature Fortune 500 companies.
“Julie has been a critical piece of our firm’s development in Southern California, and we are extremely pleased to have her leading our growth in the D.C. area,” said founder Rob Rugani. “We believe our expansion into D.C. will provide tremendous opportunities for our clients and for Acceleron.”
Ryan brings with her 20 years of experience advising a wide range of clients on strategic and commercial transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt financing, venture capital, joint ventures, corporate structuring, commercial agreements, and partnerships and LLCs. A recognized authority on corporate and securities laws matters, she is a frequent speaker on the topic at workshops and conferences nationwide. She has also spearheaded securities law legislation and is the author of numerous articles and a textbook on transactional lawyering.
“I’m excited to be back where I started my career and to be able to offer a unique blended perspective for our clients on both coasts,” said Ryan.
Julie will also be serving this fall as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, Georgetown Law, teaching a course on transactional lawyering skills.
