April 3, 2018

Acceleron Law Group, LLP is pleased to announce that Rocky Collis has joined the Firm as a Partner.

Rocky represents clients in complex transactions and serves as outside general counsel to businesses in a variety of industries, with an emphasis on emerging companies, sports and entertainment, and real estate.  Rocky has recently served as outside general counsel to the U.S. Women’s National Team Players Association (Soccer), an emerging company in the mobile payment industry, a Seattle-area family office with a wide range of endeavors in both real estate and the emerging-company space, a sports and entertainment engagement agency, and a television and advertising production company.

“We are thrilled that Rocky has joined our team at Acceleron in support of our continued strategic growth of the Firm. Rocky brings a varied legal background, with significant corporate transactional experience as outside general counsel for technology, sports and entertainment company clients, as well as for investors in those industries. We are excited to have Rocky support our continued growth in the Los Angeles “Silicon Beach” community. His experience will continue Acceleron’s mission of providing experienced and efficient legal counseling to our clients,” says Robert Rugani, a co-Founder and Partner of Acceleron.

“Rocky’s experience as outside general counsel to a diverse group of clients continues to strengthen Acceleron’s platform for serving early stage to larger mid-cap companies, and his addition furthers the Firm’s expansion into the sports and entertainment industry,” says Fred Hasani, a co-Founder and Partner of Acceleron.

Prior to joining Acceleron, Rocky developed his transactional practice at Locke Lord LLP, and was an associate at Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP.  Before going into private practice, Rocky was a professional baseball player in the Seattle Mariners' farm system. He was drafted in the 28th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft.

Rocky received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was Editor-in-Chief of The Georgetown Law Journal.  He received his B.A. from Cornell University.
