Kate Santon joins Acceleron Law Group and Expands Privacy and Data Security Practice
Orange County, CA – Acceleron Law Group, LLP is pleased to announce that Kate Santon has joined the firm as Of Counsel.
Kate’s practice focuses on privacy and data protection compliance, including potential data security liability issues, data breaches and incident response. She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).

Kate has conducted data security audits and assisted with cybersecurity programs to implement data governance standards and best practices for data security and has counseled clients regarding privacy policies, mobile app just in time notices, terms of use and best practices and strategies for notice and consent. Kate has also advised clients on compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), counseled clients regarding best practices for collection of data through digital advertising promotions, contests and sweepstakes, and counseled clients regarding privacy and data protection in vendor agreements. Kate is also experienced in conducting data breach investigations and implementing consumer and regulatory agency breach notifications.
Before joining Acceleron Law Group, Ms. Santon honed her privacy and data security practice as a project attorney at Alston & Bird, LLP and an associate at Dorsey & Whitney LLP.
Kate received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was the Senior Executive Editor of the San Diego Law Review. She received her B.A. in Philosophy from the University of California, Irvine.
