LUNA Bar Moves US Women’s National Soccer Team One Step Closer to Equal Pay

April 2019

Acceleron Law Group client, the U.S. Women’s National Team Players Association (“USWNTPA”), and LUNA Bar announced that LUNA Bar is making a donation to the players of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team to close a key gap between the players’ 2019 World Cup compensation and the compensation of the players on the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team. LUNA Bar is giving each player named to the 2019 World Cup roster $31,250, which is the difference between the women’s and men’s World Cup roster bonuses.

The Acceleron team representing the USWNTPA was led by Partner Rocky Collis, who has served as outside general counsel to the USWNTPA, and has represented the union in representation agreements with the NFLPA and REP Worldwide, and in licensing agreements with Breaking T, Fanatics, Panini, and CultureFly, among others.
